parks and beaches in the surrounding area.
Boating
Area waterways offer a variety
of boating options including canoing, Rental of pantoon boats,
paddle boats, canoes and fishing boats and motors are available
on site.
Fishing
Choose from the over 400 lakes
or the 600 miles of trout streams this area offers. A wide variety
of fishing opportunities, from pan fish to trout and game fish
await your discovery, including a fly fishing area just northeast
of us on the Peshtigo River.

Our area offers both gun and
bow season. Species include white tail deer, bear, wild turkey,
grouse, woodcock and small game.
Waterfall Tour
Marinette County, just northeast
of us, is the Waterfall Capitol of Wisconsin, with 14 major waterfalls
inside it's borders. Many are located within the Marinette County
Parks. A Waterfall Map is available.
Museums
Located nearby are the Crivitz
Area Museum, the Peshtigo Fire Museum and Logging Museums in
Marinette and Wabeno.

There are several top quality
golf courses nearby offering a wide range of layouts and difficulty
levels.
Whitewater Rafting
Whitewater rafting is another
popular activity in this area. Several outfitters have guided
trips on both the Wolf River and the Peshtigo River.
Snowmobiling
Located right on the trail,
this area boasts some of the best trails in Wisconsin.
Cross-Country Skiing
Well maintained trails are
nearby.
Rustic Road Tour
We are located right on Parkway
Road, Wisconsin's Rustic Road #32, ideal for both car and bicycle
touring.
Laona Steam Train Take a ride through the forest
on a historic Steam Train. Fall Color rides are especially nice.
Located about 45 minutes NW, just west of Laona on Hwy 8.
Shopping
This area offers an abundance
of antique and gift shops as well as art galleries and specialty
shops for the avid treasure hunter.
Fall Colorama
From mid-September to mid-October,
come see the north woods aflame with color. Visit the Mountain
Fire Tower for a spectacular view from above. |
